Includes an overview of Internet tools, Explorer/WWW, search engines, etc. OVID MEDLINE TUTORIAL 2 hours - upon request Tanya Feddern-Bekcan 305-243-6648 or tfeddern@med.miami.edu This introductory/intermediate course focuses on Ovid’s Web Gateway MEDLINE. Important features of the software, MeSH vocabulary, application of subheadings and filters with sample search strategies are covered in depth. It also provides an overview of other Ovid databases such as CINAHL and HealthSTAR, as well as links from citations to the full text article when available. Learn how to create and execute search profiles and search multiple issues of Current Contents to keep pace with articles published in 2,500 unique biomedical journals in the last few months and/or update your MEDLINE search.
