faculty members and fellows. Includes a tour and overview of the Library’s resources, services,
and databases: the online catalog; online bibliographic databases, such as MEDLINE;
online full-text databases of books and journals; and online directories.
INTRODUCTION TO THE INTERNET/WWW

OVID MEDLINE TUTORIAL

This introductory/intermediate course focuses on Ovid’s Web Gateway MEDLINE. Important features of the software, MeSH vocabulary, application of subheadings and filters with sample search strategies are covered in depth. It also provides an overview of other Ovid databases such as CINAHL and HealthSTAR,
as well as links from citations to the full text article when available.
ADVANCED MEDLINE

searching skills, perform more sophisticated searches, download search results,

CURRENT CONTENTS

This introductory course includes an overview of the Current Contents database and Ovid search
software. Learn how to create and execute search profiles and search multiple issues of
Current Contents to keep pace with articles published in 2,500 unique biomedical
journals in the last few months and/or update your MEDLINE search.
