Disaster Preparedness

It is important to be prepared in case of a natural disaster. Check with your local community for medically needy shelters and what paperwork if any needs to be completed. If you are on a ventilator, check with your local hospital if they provide emergency shelter. Follow the instructions given to you by the shelter in regards to medicines, supplies and personal assistance. It is also a good idea to have a power back up system such as a generator for your house in case of power outages.
