REHABILITATION OF MODERATE TO SEVERE TBI: MOVEMENT DISORDERS  

     Movement disorders are neurologic disorders, primarily due to damage of the basal ganglia following TBI, increased ICP, neurotransmitter changes, and mechanical disruption. They are characterized by an increase, decrease, or absence of movement.
