  • CINAHL
  • A database of the nursing and allied health literature.
  • DynaMed
  • Effective alternative to UpToDate, also accessible remotely. Produced by a physician for use at the point-of-care, DynaMed has clinical summaries for about 3,000 topics, which are updated daily and organized by 12 categories: General Information (including ICD-9 codes), Causes and Risks, Complications, History, Physical, Diagnosis, Prognosis, Treatment, Prevention and Screening, References, Patient Information, and Acknowledgements. The information in each category is displayed in descending order by level of evidence.
  • EMBASE
  • Fifty-percent of the content is unique from MEDLINE; a database of the medical, nursing, and allied health literature; the focus is mainly on the medical literature and on medications.
  • Isabel
  • A diagnostic decision support tool.
  • Micromedex
  • A collection of many different drug databases and several alternative medicine databases. Up-to-date information provided on drugs, diseases, acute care, toxicology, alternative medicine, and more.

 


  • PubMed MEDLINE
  • A database of the medical, nursing, and allied health literature; the focus is mainly on the medical literature.
  • RefWorks
  • Organize your references and format your bibliography with a click of the mouse.
  • Scopus
  • See who has cited an article since it was published; see who has cited your articles.
  • UpToDate
  • Not available off-campus. A clinical support system designed to answer clinical questions that arise in daily practice. Contains succinct, comprehensive, current and fully referenced evidence on more than 7,000 clinical topics written by physicians. Accessible within the UMMSM/Jackson Health System IP domain only.
